About the Role

The Cultural Engagement Officer is a key position within the MacKillop Seasons team, responsible for developing and strengthening relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, stakeholders, and companions. This role will provide specialist support for the promotion, update, and delivery of the Seasons suite of programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective community engagement strategies to promote the Seasons programs and build relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
  • Provide specialist support to engage, develop, and strengthen relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders and communities.
  • Support the implementation, tracking, and monitoring of MacKillop Seasons RAP actions.
  • Collaborate with the broader Seasons team to promote, engage, and plan for Seasons programs internally and externally.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and values.
  • Formal qualifications and/or work experience in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community development, health, community services, or project management fields.
  • Experience in coordinating effective community and stakeholder engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
  • Demonstrated capacity to develop and manage stakeholder relationships across professional and organisational boundaries.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines, targets, and key deliverables of the program.
