Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Allied Health Professional

At atWork Australia - Workforce Australia, we are seeking an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Allied Health Professional to join our team. This is a permanent opportunity that offers flexible work options, including telehealth opportunities, and flexibility for full or part-time hours.
The successful applicant will be required to provide evidence to confirm that they are an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person.
Key duties of the role will include:
- Conducting thorough assessments of candidates with a range of disability and barriers to employment;
- Offering counselling intervention as needed, utilising various psychological methodologies;
- Referencing candidates to additional external support services to help address barriers;
- Providing evaluations on assessments and monitoring the progression of cases;
- Liaising with medical professionals and community agencies on behalf of candidates; and
- Providing training and guidance to atWork staff on psychological services and procedures.
Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Psychology with eligibility registration with AHPRA;
- Degree qualifications in Social Work or Counselling and current, or eligibility to gain, membership with one of AASW / ACA / PACFA;
- Experience working within employment services highly regarded but not essential;
- Knowledge of psychology assessment / intervention strategies;
- Exceptional communication, rapport building skills and engagement;
- Proven ability to construct accurate and articulate case reports;
- Ability to work towards generating positive outcomes for clients.
