About the Role

The Cultural Engagement Officer is a key position within the Mac Killop Seasons team, responsible for developing and strengthening relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, stakeholders, and companions.

This role involves providing specialist support to promote, update, and deliver the Seasons suite of programs, as well as supporting Mac Killop Seasons RAP actions, including implementation, tracking, and monitoring of deliverables.

The successful candidate will be a member of the broader Seasons team, providing support to promote, engage, and plan for Seasons Programs internally and externally, reporting to the Lead – National and International Partnerships, Mac Killop Seasons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, stakeholders, and companions
  • Provide specialist support to promote, update, and deliver the Seasons suite of programs
  • Support Mac Killop Seasons RAP actions, including implementation, tracking, and monitoring of deliverables
  • Collaborate with the broader Seasons team to promote, engage, and plan for Seasons Programs internally and externally
Requirements
  • Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and values
  • Formal qualifications and/or work experience in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community development, health, community services, or project management fields
  • Experience in coordinating effective community and stakeholder engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
  • Demonstrated capacity to develop and manage stakeholder relationships across professional and organisational boundaries
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines, targets, and key deliverables of the program
