We are seeking an experienced and compassionate professional to join our team as a Family Violence Practitioner. This is a unique opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of women from migrant and refugee backgrounds who are experiencing family violence.

In this role, you will work closely with victim survivors of family violence, providing individual case management and recovery support. You will also deliver group-based programs based on identified need and in line with the MARAM Framework.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the specialist family violence sector in Victoria, including the Multi Agency Risk Assessment (MARAM) Framework training and its application in crisis services or be willing to undergo training at employment start. They will also possess excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of cultural and social groups.

As a Family Violence Practitioner, you will be part of a dynamic and supportive team that champions equality, diversity, and inclusion within our workforce and approach to service delivery. Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver individual case management and recovery support to victim survivors of family violence.
  • Provide group-based programs based on identified need and in line with the MARAM Framework.
  • Work closely with other services to ensure comprehensive support for victim survivors.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community members and organizations to promote service awareness and engagement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent qualification as required for working within the Family Violence sector.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Adaptable to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processes.
