Financial Crime Junior Analyst Role Overview:
We are seeking a Financial Crime Professional to join our team. This role is an exciting opportunity to assist in the firm's compliance with its financial crime obligations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Undertake Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) checks and risk assessments for clients, including screening for sanctions, Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), and other high-risk indicators.
- Conduct matter risk assessments on matters & transactions.
- Assist in the management of the firm's new business workflow, including prioritization and delegation of new business requests.
- Advise stakeholders within the firm on routine financial crime and KYC queries.
- Ensure timely completion of AML/KYC client identification checks and liaise with the matter team as necessary to obtain additional KYC information & documentation.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 9-12 months in a compliance role in a law firm or other regulated entity (financial crime experience desirable but not essential).
- Good awareness of the financial crime regulatory landscape and a desire to develop further in this area.
- Excellent research and analytical skills.
- Good commercial awareness.
- Ability to prioritize workload.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work autonomously and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal, written, and face-to-face communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines.
- Ability to work well within a global team and support the team in London.
