Global Financial Institutions Require Anti-Financial Crime Specialists

About the Role:
  • This senior role is responsible for ensuring compliance with anti-financial crime regulations across various business lines.
  • The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of Australian AML legislation and rules, as well as experience working in an AFC, Compliance or Customer Onboarding role within a financial institution or regulator.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide expert guidance and advice to internal stakeholders on anti-financial crime matters.
  2. Conduct quality assurance testing on AFC controls, including third-party payments and sanctions screening.
  3. Review escalated matters arising from the bank's anti-financial crime framework.
  4. Ensure accurate and timely completion of Enhanced Customer Due Diligence files.
  5. Review potential products, transactions and business initiatives to identify and assess financial crime risks.
  6. Investigate potential suspicious transactions and produce Suspicious Transaction Reports.
Requirements:
  • Proven expertise in Australian AML legislation and rules.
  • Advanced knowledge of AFC-related concepts and experience gained in an AFC, Compliance or Customer Onboarding role within a financial institution or regulator.
  • Anti-bribery and corruption experience would be advantageous.
  • Understanding of investment banking and securities products and services.
