Job Title: Financial Crime Risk Specialist
The Financial Crime Risk Specialist plays a pivotal role in managing and controlling financial crime risks within the organization. The role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure that financial crime obligations are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the business to complete financial crime risk assessments
- Manage change within the business to ensure delivered risk is within group appetite
- Support the implementation of new processes, controls, and uplifts as they relate to financial crime
- Lead and execute financial crime initiatives and provide advice and support to stakeholders
- Provide guidance on financial crime matters (AML/CTF, Sanctions, and ABC) to the business and operational teams
- Support the completion of financial crime risk assessments and manage stakeholders
- Lead and execute initiatives to identify, mitigate, and manage financial risk across products and channels
- Support risk in change initiatives across the business area and ensure impacts to financial crime risk profiles are adequately managed
- Contribute to process efficiency and productivity by identifying opportunities to improve processes, reduce risks, and improve compliance
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Genuine interest and passion for financial crime with previous experience in the area of financial crime and fraud a key advantage
- Strong understanding of operational risk and financial crime control environment
- Exceptional organizational and planning capabilities
- Proven experience managing change initiatives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to dissect complex problems, identify root causes, and develop balanced solutions
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with ability to translate complex issues into simple concepts
