This role involves providing support to individuals in their own homes, enabling them to maintain independence and live fulfilling lives.
The Community Support Worker will travel to customers' homes as part of service delivery, ensuring they receive the necessary assistance to achieve their goals.
Key responsibilities include preparing and cooking meals while maintaining proper hygiene standards, delivering meals with professionalism and care, and following Client Care Plans accurately.
- Current Australian driver's license and reliable vehicle are essential for this role.
- Trade certificate, equivalent qualification or experience in commercial cooking environments and/or aged care catering are desirable.
- A strong understanding of documentation and relevant aged care legislation is required.
- Occupational Health and Safety principles and correct manual handling techniques must be applied.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential for success in this position.
