Role Overview

About this role

We are seeking skilled professionals to join our aged care team in York. Working with us means you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to our residents pursuing their personal goals and passions, enabling them to live full and meaningful lives.

This role requires empathy, understanding and respect for the aged care population, as well as effective interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote the physical and emotional wellbeing of residents
  • Ensure person-centred support and support plans are at the forefront of everything you do
  • Partnering with residents to be involved in meaningful activities
  • Coordinate with other staff to achieve outcomes and liaise directly with nursing staff regarding any specific health concerns

Other duties include supporting with everyday activities such as eating, personal hygiene tasks, mobility, household tasks and leisure activities.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III or willingness to work towards attaining one
  • A customer centric approach
  • Relates to the aged care population with empathy, understanding and respect
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to pass a National Police Check
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical
