Job Opportunity:

As a Turf Care Professional, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing turf areas at our prestigious sporting grounds. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the turf remains lush, healthy, and resilient.

This hands-on position involves working with a team of experienced professionals to maintain six elite-level sporting grounds, including AFL, Soccer, Rugby, and Cricket (turf wicket). You will be responsible for performing regular tasks such as mowing, aerating, and topdressing to uphold quality and playability.

Responsibilities include monitoring turf health and proactively addressing issues like pests, diseases, and compaction through cultural and chemical practices. You will also implement sustainable turf management practices, including water conservation strategies and pest management techniques.

Operational Requirements:

  • Maintain turf surfaces by performing regular maintenance tasks
  • Monitor turf health and address any issues that arise
  • Implement sustainable turf management practices
  • Operate and maintain specialized turf equipment and machinery
  • Collaborate with the landscaping team to coordinate maintenance schedules and prioritize tasks
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand expectations and provide turf care recommendations

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Sports Turf Management or equivalent qualification
  • Cricket Wicket experience highly desirable
  • Previous experience in turf management, greenkeeping, or a related field preferred
  • Knowledge of turfgrass species, growth habits, and maintenance requirements
  • Familiarity with turf care equipment and machinery
