About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Communications Specialist to play a key part in shaping and delivering communication strategies that enhance our reputation, strengthen community engagement, and support organisational priorities.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing campaigns and initiatives that align with our goals, ensuring consistent and impactful messaging across all platforms.

Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will design and deliver targeted campaigns, manage media relations, and take responsibility for our digital presence – including oversight of our website and social media platforms.

  • Driving integrated communication and engagement strategies.
  • Providing informed strategic advice and practical support to strengthen our communications and community profile.
  • Enhancing visibility through targeted media campaigns and proactive media engagement.
  • Monitoring digital performance and adapting strategies to meet community expectations.

The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Communications, Journalism, or related field (or significant experience), strong expertise in strategic communication, stakeholder engagement, and media relations.

A collaborative culture and the ability to manage communication challenges in high-pressure situations are also highly valued.
