In this key role, you will be responsible for handling end-to-end financial accounting for the brand, including General Ledger Close Process management, monthly reporting, and supporting EOFY and Half-Year audits.

As a Finance Team Lead, you will oversee the accounting for stores, online and luxury brands, marketing, and support divisions, covering cash, debtors, creditors, revenue recognition, wages, expenses, and management fees. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the month-end GL close processes for the Leisure business
  • Review of Balance Sheet Reconciliations and reporting across the Leisure business
  • Timely and accurate preparation of monthly Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet reviews, including commentary and analysis
  • Support the Group Financial Reporting team with EOFY and Half-Year external audits, by delivering on the Leisure brand audit requirements.
  • Protect our business by monitoring and reviewing at risk items
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, relevant accounting standards and FCL minimum standards for financial systems and processes
  • Constantly look to improve efficiencies within finance workflow processes
  • Assist with special projects and the implementation of systems and process improvement initiatives as they arise
Leadership and Management
  • Lead the team with a clear vision and strategic direction
  • Inspire and motivate team members to cultivate a positive and engaging work culture
  • Foster an environment of psychological safety and openness
  • Provide constructive feedback, manage performance as needed, and hold team members accountable
  • Align and energise the team to achieve business objectives
  • Develop talent and promote a culture of continuous learning, supporting team member professional development

We're looking for someone with 5+ years' experience in ASX listed financial reporting teams, who has a meticulous eye for detail and curiosity to explore. You should also have strong manager/coaching/leadership skills, a high degree of flexibility, and ability to deal with change, growth and pressure in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, you should have:

  • Interpersonal and communication skills with ability to develop relationships at all levels
  • Team player who can motivate teams to excel, adopting our FCTG values
  • External Audit experience
  • Advanced Excel skills, including modeling, use of Power Automate and/or Power BI
  • CA/CPA qualified (Highly desirable)
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or similar
