Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Financial Accountant to join our team in Leisure Finance, responsible for end-to-end financial accounting for a portfolio of our Leisure operations. This role requires strong financial control, diligence, and problem-solving skills.

About the Role

In this key position, you will be responsible for managing the month-end General Ledger close processes, reviewing Balance Sheet Reconciliations, and preparing timely and accurate Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet reviews. You will also support the Group Financial Reporting team with EOFY and Half-Year external audits and ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and complete the month-end General Ledger close processes for assigned Leisure portfolios
  • Review Balance Sheet Reconciliations and reporting across the Leisure business
  • Prepare timely and accurate Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet reviews, including commentary and analysis
  • Support the Group Financial Reporting team with EOFY and Half-Year external audits
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards
Requirements
  • 3-5+ years' experience with/in ASX listed financial reporting teams
  • Meticulous eye for detail and curiosity to explore
  • High degree of flexibility and ability to deal with change, growth, and pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Interpersonal and communication skills with ability to develop relationships at all levels
  • Team player who can motivate teams to excel, adopting our FCTG values
  • External Audit experience preferable (but not essential)
  • Advanced Excel skills, including modeling, use of Power Automate and/or Power BI
  • Understanding of our FCTG Philosophies to support our extraordinary culture
  • CA/CPA qualified
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or similar
