The focus of this role is to lead the Traffic Engineering pillar of Arup's NSW/ACT Transport Planning team, driving strategic growth and success in the NSW market. The role will be responsible for integrating with Arup's Infrastructure business on major Projects, leading Transport Planning projects, and managing a small team of Traffic Engineers.

The Opportunity

  • Oversee the overall performance of the Traffic Engineering Pillar, promoting learning opportunities from successes and problems that arise, and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration. Monitor project progress and interdependencies, offering expert technical guidance and ensuring highly efficient multidisciplinary coordination. Monitor resource allocation optimization and task prioritization to drive business growth and success.//
  • Drive all business development initiatives, including the identification of new opportunities and the execution of comprehensive strategies in collaboration with senior management, to promote the Traffic Engineering pillar and drive revenue growth. Proactively gather and address stakeholder feedback and expectations, orchestrating seamless collaboration with public relations and communication teams to uphold the organization's image and reputation.//
  • Spearhead stakeholder meetings, workshops, and consultations, measuring and reporting on stakeholder engagement effectiveness and satisfaction to guide future engagement strategies, and ensure that the Traffic Engineering pillar remains at the forefront of industry trends and best practices.//
  • Lead by example, embodying Arup's values and culture, and promoting a culture of inclusivity, diversity, and respect within the team, to attract, retain, and develop top talent, and drive business success.//
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the Traffic Engineering pillar's visibility and reputation, both within Arup and in the external market, to drive business growth and success.//
