Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of support workers to deliver high-quality support services to clients, ensuring a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Service Development: Develop and implement individualised support plans in collaboration with clients, their families, and other stakeholders, ensuring compliance with NDIS standards, policies, and procedures.
- Service Delivery: Monitor and review service delivery to ensure it meets the needs and goals of clients, providing regular supervision, training, and professional development opportunities for support workers.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with NDIS standards, policies, and procedures, maintaining accurate records and documentation, including client progress reports and incident reports.
- Collaboration and Communication: Liaise with external agencies, healthcare professionals, and other service providers to coordinate comprehensive support for clients, fostering strong relationships and partnerships.
- Operational Management: Form part of the regular roster, which will include working 2-3 shifts per week, and participate in an on-call roster, ensuring seamless service delivery and continuity.
- Qualifications: Minimum of a Certificate III in Disability Support, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within the disability sector, with a strong understanding of NDIS standards and regulations.
- Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Commitment: Commitment to promoting the rights, independence, and dignity of people with disabilities, with a strong passion for empowering individuals with disabilities.
- Certifications: Current First Aid and CPR certification, with a valid Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel as required.
- Citizenship: Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
