Join the University of Wollongong's Careers & Employability unit as a Team Leader, Student Careers Services. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of professionals in delivering high-quality careers and employability services to students.
About the RoleThe Team Leader, Student Career Services will be responsible for planning, developing, and coordinating careers and employability services, programs, and resources that are informed by best practice and evidence. This includes supervising a team of Student Employability Officers and ensuring a high-quality service delivery to students.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement careers and employability services, programs, and resources that meet the needs of students and stakeholders.
- Supervise and mentor a team of Student Employability Officers to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and maintain relationships that support the delivery of careers and employability services.
- Contribute to the development of the University's careers and employability strategy and initiatives.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of careers and employability services and make recommendations for improvement.
- High-level program and project management skills, including the ability to identify needs/demand, plan, implement, and execute initiatives.
- Relevant qualifications and experience in the coordination of programs and services.
- High-level communication and interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Effective team leadership skills and demonstrated supervisory experience.
- Experience in working strategically with a wide variety of stakeholders, including developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships.
- Understanding of issues impacting on students and staff in higher education and an understanding of university policy frameworks.
- Experience in developing, coordinating, and delivering learning, training, and development programs.
- A postgraduate qualification in career development required to meet the requirements of the Professional Standards for Australian Career Development Practitioners.
