Job Title: Relief Shift Team Leader

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Relief Shift Team Leader to join our Hot Strip Mill team at our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility.

About the Role

As a Relief Shift Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the shift operations teams to achieve business targets and ensure operations are within standards. You will also be responsible for ensuring safety standards are never compromised, making suitable changes when risks and opportunities are identified.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the shift operations teams to achieve business targets and ensure operations are within standards
  • Ensure safety standards are never compromised, making suitable changes when risks and opportunities are identified
  • Supervise the operational activities and strive for business improvements and manufacturing excellence
  • Coach, mentor, and develop the team to enhance capabilities
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering (mechanical or electrical or operational) will be highly regarded
  • A safety-first mind-set, championing the care and wellbeing of yourself and others
  • An ability to influence peers and colleagues to meet operational requirements, scheduling, and people demands
  • An ability to translate business objectives to clear actions and outcomes for your team
