We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Contracts Specialist to join our Global Supply Chain team. In this role, you will lead a program of build projects in Sydney, Australia.
Overview
The Global Supply Chain team is responsible for establishing a supply chain that meets the growing needs of the Cloud and our customers. We support complex datacenter construction and lease projects, as well as operations teams that manage cloud assets.
In this position, you will be responsible for leading change order negotiations, executing procurement contracting strategies, and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Procurement:
- Negotiate contract terms and conditions with suppliers;
- Develop sourcing and negotiation strategies to meet project objectives;
- Participate in supplier assessment and prepare contract award proposals.
- Contract Review and Compliance: Ensure all contractual requirements are met according to the terms and conditions;
- Execute procurement contracting strategies for large, complex data center construction projects and/or purchasing opportunities to achieve optimal cost and continuity of supply and services.
- Change Order Management: Lead Change Order negotiations with input from key stakeholders and detailed understanding of contractual conditions;
- Monitor and mitigate the impact of change orders to the project, and partners cross-functionally to resolve/escalate accordingly.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field;
- 10+ Years Experience in Project Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, and/or Operations;
- Proven experience in contract management, preferably in construction, real estate, or infrastructure projects.
Preferred Requirements
- Hyperscale data center or large building construction experience in an owner or general contractor capacity;
- Experience developing negotiating contract terms and conditions specifically for contracts related to services, construction, engineering, materials and equipment installation.
Estimated Salary Range
$120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills;
- Detailed understanding of contracting principles and legal terms and conditions;
- Broad understanding of the construction industry and contract language associated with engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction/construction management (EPFC/CM).
