We are seeking a passionate and accomplished Academic Leader to join our prestigious institution as a Professor of Nursing or Midwifery at Monash University.
About the Opportunity
This is an exceptional chance for a visionary academic leader to contribute to shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals, promoting excellence in research and leadership within the Monash School of Nursing and Midwifery (MNM).
Your Key Responsibilities
- Promote innovative research and scholarship within the MNM, leading to impactful publications and collaborations.
- Mentor and guide novice academics and students, fostering their growth and development in academia and clinical practice.
- Develop and lead ground-breaking research projects, advancing nursing and midwifery knowledge and practice.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to advance healthcare knowledge and drive positive change.
- Provide expert guidance on research proposals and grant applications, supporting faculty members in securing funding.
- Engage in continuous professional development, staying at the forefront of nursing and midwifery education and practice.
- Contribute to academic and administrative leadership within the Faculty by participating in policy and strategy development.
Your Qualifications
- A doctoral degree in Nursing or Midwifery, or equivalent.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
- A proven track record of excellence in teaching, research, and clinical practice.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentorship skills.
- An active involvement in professional organizations and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Experience in curriculum development and innovative teaching methodologies would be advantageous.
