The School of Nursing and Midwifery at La Trobe University is seeking a distinguished academic leader to lead its Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) course.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with industry partners to support the clinical supervision of nurse practitioner students.
  • Design and implement innovative curriculum that reflects best practices nationally and internationally, leveraging online and blended learning methodologies.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to colleagues in curriculum design, development, and delivery of teaching.
  • Select prospective nurse practitioner students according to established policies and procedures.
  • Drive teaching improvement projects at course, discipline, or school level.
  • Promote excellence in teaching within La Trobe University.
Requirements:
  • Hold an endorsed nurse practitioner master's degree and significant experience in the discipline area. A doctoral qualification in nursing or a relevant field is highly desirable.
  • Be currently endorsed as a Nurse Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  • Demonstrate recent participation in clinical practice as a nurse practitioner.
  • Show effectiveness in teaching, curriculum development, and subject coordination in face-to-face, blended, and/or online modes, with a commitment to excellence in teaching.
  • Demonstrate capacity to provide leadership at course/program level.
About the Opportunity

This role offers a competitive salary range of AU$ 110,000 - AU$ 140,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
