About the Opportunity
Western Health is seeking an experienced Senior Midwifery Manager to lead the Maternity Assessment Centre. As a leader of the midwifery and nursing team, you will be at the forefront of providing high-quality consumer-focused care.
This role involves leading, developing, and overseeing innovative changes that align with the organisation's strategic priorities and the Women's and Children's Division business plan.
About the Role
This is a full-time position based at Joan Kirner Women's and Children's Sunshine Campus.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading a large, diverse team as an experienced senior midwife with previous management experience
- Demonstrating cultural safety and an understanding of the issues affecting the health outcomes of First Nations women and families
- Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with staff, stakeholders, and the community
- Strategically planning and implementing operational changes that meet the needs of the organisation and its customers
- Overseeing financial management, activity, access, quality, and safety within the Maternity Assessment Centre
