Job Title: Food Services Assistant

Northern Beaches Hospital is seeking a dynamic individual to join their Food Service department as a Food Services Assistant. As part of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparation of food trays for patient consumption
  • Deliver, serve and collect all patient food requirements and meal trays in accordance with established meal schedules
  • Assist in daily food preparation and basic meal assembly
  • Clean and sanitize food service equipment in accordance with hospital and industry food safety and hygiene standards

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Current Food Processing Certificate Level 1 (working towards or willing to attain)
  • Prior experience in Healthcare Food Services
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to work without supervision as well as part of a team
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Flexible to work a variety of shifts - early/late shifts & weekend work
