About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to contribute to innovative legal research and shape the next generation of legal professionals at Melbourne Law School.
Main Responsibilities- Teach and Develop Curriculum: Deliver engaging lectures and seminars, develop course materials, and collaborate with colleagues on curriculum design.
- Conduct Impactful Research: Pursue high-quality research, publish scholarly articles in leading journals, and enhance the school's research profile.
- Supervise and Mentor: Guide students in their research projects at JD, LLM, or PhD levels, providing expert guidance and support.
- Engage with the Community: Participate in knowledge transfer activities, establish partnerships with local, national, and global organizations, and foster collaborative relationships.
- A first degree in law from a common law jurisdiction.
- A PhD or equivalent completed in a relevant discipline, in an area of private, criminal or commercial law.
- Exceptionally, professional experience in a relevant area of law may be considered a substitute for a PhD.
