Academic Law Lecturer

We are seeking a highly qualified academic to join our law faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate programs in law, including the Bachelor of Laws and the Bachelor of Criminal Justice and Criminology with a focus on law and technology.

The lecturer will prepare and deliver classes, as well as prepare and grade assessments. They will also contribute to the delivery of online offerings, developing and supporting academic programs and working with the academic team in program change and innovation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and delivering high-quality teaching materials and presentations
  • Leading lectures and tutorials, and contributing to curriculum development
  • Undertaking research and scholarly activities that contribute to the university's research profile
  • Engaging with industry and community partners to enhance teaching and research opportunities

Qualifications include:

  • A doctoral qualification in the relevant discipline or a related field
  • A law degree that fulfills the academic requirements for admission to legal practice
  • Admission to legal practice
  • A teaching qualification (desired)
