Commercial Law Specialist

The Commercial Law Specialist will play a key role in providing legal advice and recommendations to drive business success. This is an opportunity for an experienced lawyer to join our team and contribute their expertise to deliver commercially focused legal support.
This position requires the ability to balance legal risk with commercial objectives, identify legal risk, and work closely with the business to deliver timely and cost-effective advice. The successful candidate will also be responsible for drafting and reviewing agreements and other legal documents.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our Financial Services business, including Mortgage Choice and Campaign Agent. You will provide commercially focused legal support, particularly in the area of financial services, including consumer credit, AML/CTF, and payment systems regulation.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A law degree and current or eligible for current Legal Practicing Certificate.
- Minimum 3 years post-admission experience in private practice or in-house.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
