Role Overview

About the Team

The YMCA Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) services care for children before school, after school and during holidays across 50+ school sites throughout South East Queensland.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Coordinator on a fixed term basis to cover maternity leave for a minimum of six months.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who have experience in managing OSHC programs and teams.

About the Service

The service is located at the Yugumbir State School in Regents Park. It operates from 6am to 9am in the morning and 3pm to 6pm in the afternoon during school terms.

The service has access to multi-functional rooms and playground areas offering a wide range of fun, stimulating and diverse programs that reflect real world experiences and home settings.

About the Role

In this position, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the service and the management of a team of Educators.

You will receive support from a dedicated management team, consisting of Senior Coordinators, Area Coordinators, Regional Managers and the OSHC Manager.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing quality programs that align with the National Quality Framework 'My Time Our Place' and the School's educational principles
  • Managing the day-to-day running of the programs, including staffing and rostering
  • Ensuring compliance with policy and procedures
  • Undertaking administrative requirements, such as reporting and data entry
  • Working collaboratively with families and the school community
