About the Role

Crescent Respite is seeking a skilled and experienced Disability Team Leader to lead our team of residential support workers and manage our various accommodations across Melbourne.

This full-time, hybrid role offers a dynamic opportunity to make a direct impact on the well-being of our clients, while ensuring our services are delivered in line with their care plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Overall leadership and management of our SIL and Respite houses, including rostering and monitoring of direct support staff.
  • Complete all paperwork, such as medication re-orders, transportation, and visitor logs.
  • Match skilled staff to clients based on their needs and care plans.
  • Supervise support workers and maintain relationships with existing participants, referrers, and stakeholders.
  • Support participants, their families, and carers to understand and access our services and policies.
  • Nurture a network of connections across the disability and community care sector.
  • Develop and maintain operational administrative systems, procedures, and processes to support effective management of service delivery.
  • Manage accommodation budget and expenditure.
Selection Criteria
  • At least 12 months of experience in a similar role, preferably in the Disability or Community services sector.
  • Certificate III or above in Disability, Community Services, or equivalent.
  • Passionate to work alongside clients with disability and a customer service-focused approach.
  • Experience working with rostering systems and Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel to SIL houses and Respite Facility across Melbourne.
Mandatory Compliance Requirements
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Valid Victorian Working with Children Check.
  • Current First aid and CPR certificate.
  • Current Victorian Driver's License.
  • Satisfactory National Police Certificate obtained within the last 6 months.
