About the Role

Crescent Respite is seeking a skilled and experienced Disability Team Leader to join our team. As a Disability Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading our team of residential support workers and ensuring our various accommodations are managed optimally to provide unwavering support to our clients.

This full-time, hybrid role offers a dynamic opportunity to make a direct impact on the well-being of those we serve. You will be responsible for:

  • Overall leadership and management of our SIL and Respite houses.
  • Responsible for the rostering of all direct support staff within your houses, including monitoring of absenteeism and recommendations for escalation.
  • Complete all paperwork, including medication re-orders, transportation, visitor logs, etc.
  • Understanding client needs to match appropriate skilled staff to clients, to deliver services in line with their care plan.
  • Supervision of support workers on a regular basis, maintaining and building relationships with existing Participants and key referrers.
  • Supporting Participants, their families, and carers to understand and access our services and policies.
  • Nurturing a network of connections across the disability and community care sector.
  • Develop and Maintain Operational Administrative Systems, Procedures and Processes to Support Effective Management of all areas of Service Delivery.
  • Reporting incidents immediately in line with the NDIS Incident reporting.
  • Management of accommodation budget and expenditure.

Selection Criteria

  • At least 12 months of experience in a similar role, preferably in the Disability or Community services sector.
  • Certificate III or above in Disability, Community Services or equivalent.
  • Passionate to work alongside clients with disability and a customer service focused approach.
  • Experience working with rostering systems and Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel to the SIL houses and Respite Facility.

Mandatory Compliance Requirements

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Valid Victorian Working with Children Check.
  • Current First aid and CPR certificate.
  • Current Victorian Driver's License.
  • Satisfactory National Police Certificate obtained within the last 6 months.
