Job DescriptionWe are looking for experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners who have current suitability at the Proficient level as confirmed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will assist NDIS participants and their families to identify their needs through assessment and person-centred planning.
- You will evaluate, develop, and deliver evidence-based support plans within a complex support space.
- You will develop meaningful goals and practical strategies using a positive behaviour support framework, with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices.
You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including mentoring less experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners. You will also act as an advocate and role model for best practice.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be considered suitable, you will need to have:
- Current suitability at the Proficient level as a Behaviour Support Practitioner.
- A completed degree-level qualification as an allied health professional.
- NDIS report writing experience.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload.
- A proactive attitude, motivated by improvement and the opportunity to test and learn from new ideas.
- A genuine passion for working in the disability sector.
