Disability Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Disability Support Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team in Western Sydney.
About the Role:The successful candidate will work with NDIS participants, their families, and carers to identify needs through assessment and person-centred planning.
Evaluating, developing, and delivering evidence-based support plans within a complex support space is a key responsibility of this role.
This position requires developing meaningful goals and practical strategies using a positive behaviour support framework, with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices.
The individual must ensure individual plans reflect the participant's goals, passions, and strengths.
Building the knowledge, capacity, and strengths of those who support participants in their lives - family, carers, friends, etc.
Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including mentoring less experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners.
Acting as an advocate and role model for best practice.
Requirements:- Current suitability confirmed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission at the Proficient level as a Behaviour Support Practitioner.
- Completed a degree-level qualification as an allied health professional.
- NDIS Report writing experience.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload.
- Proactive attitude, motivated by improvement and the opportunity to test and learn from new ideas.
