Caregiver - Home Support Specialist

Salary and BenefitsThe awarded rate for this position is $29.51 per hour, plus Super, Paid KM's, Phone Allowance, and discounts on car maintenance. As a permanent part-time employee, you will enjoy guaranteed hours close to home.
Job DescriptionThis role involves providing support to older members of our community, enabling them to live independently at home for longer. Your day will include:
- Domestic assistance: ensuring the home is safe and clean for our customers
- Helping with meal preparation and shopping
- Providing social support and transport to lifestyle activities
- Personal care: assisting with daily tasks, medication management, mobility, and therapy goals
- Respite and emotional support
- Social support and transport to appointments
- Complex care for customers with high needs, such as dementia
We are looking for individuals with:
- A minimum of 6 months' experience in a similar role, including personal care skills
- A current P1 class or above Australian Driver's License and registered vehicle – travel is a requirement
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing situations
- Availability to work at least 3 days, Monday to Friday, with no night or weekend shifts
- Comfort working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems
