Establish a regional hub to support the development of a national roadmap for pharmacogenomics implementation in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Queensland Node Coordinator, Indigenous Genomics Network. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing a jurisdictional node to support the development of a national roadmap for pharmacogenomics implementation in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to engage with local stakeholders, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, families, and communities.
  • Collaborate with researchers, policymakers, and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective solutions to address health disparities in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Requirements
  • A degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, project management, bio-medical science, public or population health, health, research, policy, and/or Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander studies.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples, families, communities, service providers, and organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting or supporting research involving Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.
  • Demonstrated project management experience and skills, including financial/budget management.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder engagement experience and expertise; particularly in relation to working with and for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders and their interests.
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills, and experience working with and for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander interests and stakeholders.
