Groundwater Modelling Virtual Team Leader Position

This role is for a lead in our national Groundwater Modelling team, comprising 11 members across Brisbane, Melbourne, and Wollongong offices. The team delivers and grows our Groundwater Modelling Practice. As a virtual team, this role can be based in any of our offices.

We seek a groundwater leader with exceptional team coordination and management skills to motivate staff and develop their careers. Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the national Groundwater Modelling team to deliver solutions for clients.
  • Closely collaborate with state-based groundwater and surface water team leaders.
  • Work directly with the Technical Discipline Manager and Hydrogeology Technical Directors to implement business plans.
  • Mentor junior staff in preparing quality reports on time and within budget.
  • Contribute to winning work by identifying and converting opportunities, drawing on client relationships, and business development acumen.
Requirements
  • 7-20 years of industry experience as a hydrogeologist, including consultancy experience.
  • An appropriate Engineering or Science tertiary qualification.
  • A strong technical background in numerical modelling, hydrogeological conceptualisation, groundwater impact assessment, and hydrogeological investigation.
  • A thorough understanding of Australian groundwater legislation and guidelines related to resource development and infrastructure projects.
  • A strong commitment to Health and Safety.
