Job Description

Charterhouse is seeking an experienced Paralegal/Legal Support Officer for a temporary contract with the possibility for extension.

This senior administrative role involves delivering high-quality clerical and paralegal support for an effective and efficient prosecution service.

The successful candidate will need to be able to prioritize workloads effectively and have prior experience in a similar position.

Duties within the role include:

  • Providing high-quality legal support to staff, prosecutors, and other Counsel
  • Maintaining briefs, files, file notes, and records of proceedings
  • Liaising with external stakeholders to obtain and provide necessary information and assistance
  • Preparing court documents for prosecutions and appeals efficiently and accurately
  • Providing general legal support, including registration and updating matters, drafting correspondence, and record keeping

Requirements:

  • Effective interpersonal, communication skills, and organizational skills
  • Significant experience in delivering clerical support services in a legal service environment
  • Proficiency in using software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • High level of attention to detail and confidentiality
