Senior Clinician Role Overview

The position of Senior Clinician is a highly sought-after opportunity for experienced social workers who are passionate about making a tangible impact in the lives of children and families affected by abuse and neglect.

This role involves providing specialist counselling and casework to children and families where there is an identified risk of significant harm due to domestic violence, physical abuse, or neglect.

You will utilize trauma-informed, client-centred approaches to deliver medium to long-term interventions that support recovery, enhance safety, and strengthen parenting capacity.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality counselling and casework services to children and families
  • Develop and implement medium to long-term interventions to promote recovery, safety, and parenting capacity
  • Play a key leadership role within the team, including providing professional supervision and mentorship to junior staff members
  • Contribute to service development, evaluation, and quality improvement initiatives

About You:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Social Worker who shares our commitment to supporting vulnerable children and families. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Social Work from an accredited institution and be eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).

A strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and excellent collaboration and communication skills are essential for this role. You will also have experience working with multiple stakeholders, including community services, schools, police, and non-government organisations.
