About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Stakeholder Engagement Advisor to join our team at AusNet Services. As a key member of our Western Renewables Link project team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing engagement plans and strategies to ensure the successful delivery of our renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement stakeholder engagement plans and programs to encourage and maximize community participation.
  • Support the development of responses to key stakeholder correspondence and enquiries.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the general and local community, regional industry, business communities, and local, state, and federal government agencies.
  • Prepare and undertake stakeholder mapping and analysis.
  • Work closely with the communications and correspondence team to support the development of effective and relevant stakeholder messages and responses.
  • Plan, organize, coordinate, and attend community meetings, information sessions, technical forums, and regular engagement with other stakeholders.
  • Prepare factual, concise, and community-focused communication materials.
  • Identify and manage stakeholder and community engagement issues and risks, monitoring these and actively addressing ongoing matters.
Requirements
  • Qualification in community and stakeholder engagement, communications, or other relevant degree.
  • Experience in undertaking stakeholder or community engagement activities, preferably working in areas such as local government, energy, or large infrastructure projects.
  • Supported the development and implementation of communication and engagement plans.
  • Project or programme delivery experience, with active and regular engagement and liaison activities undertaken with external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional listening skills and ability to quickly and effectively build rapport, demonstrating respect, empathy, thoughtfulness in all engagements.
  • IAP2 certificate, or similar experience, will be an advantage in this role.
  • Resilience and flexibility to prioritize tasks in accordance with changing project priorities and climate.
