Job Description

The role of Maintenance Supervisor is a vital position within our maintenance team, ensuring the stability and reliability of plant operations. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, this individual will be responsible for managing and supervising their team to achieve business and customer requirements in a cost-effective and safe manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and engage the team to achieve objectives and deliver quality service
  • Develop a culture that prioritizes work quality and preventing breakdowns
  • Clearly define and communicate work requirements
  • Set clear performance expectations and address underperformance promptly
  • Mentor, coach, and develop team members through individual performance plans, recognition, and reward
Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

  • Extensive experience in supervising and leading maintenance teams, with a proven ability to coach and manage performance
  • A demonstrated commitment to environmental, health, and safety principles and systems
  • Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills for effective liaison at all levels
  • Troubleshooting expertise in maintenance or production departments
  • Customer focus and commitment to quality and continuous improvement
  • Superior planning and organization skills to optimize results
  • Experience with computerized maintenance systems (such as SAP) and MS Office Suite
  • Trade or engineering qualifications or equivalent experience
