Job Title: Strategic Credit Process Lead

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead our credit process and implementation team. As a strategic credit process lead, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement across our credit operations.

This role is critical to enhancing process efficiency, strengthening controls, and ensuring visibility of team performance.

You will play a key role in documenting and refining credit processes, analysing incidents to identify root causes, and implementing solutions that support operational excellence.

Working closely with the manager, assurance & development, you will also collaborate across teams to align credit initiatives with broader business goals.

  • Lead and support the credit process team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
  • Maintain and enhance documentation of credit processes and procedures.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide clear reporting and visibility of team outputs to the line manager.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to track KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Analyse data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Investigate incidents and issues, implement corrective actions, and monitor outcomes.
  • Evaluate and enhance internal controls to mitigate operational risk.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support audits and provide relevant documentation and insights.
  • Act as a key liaison for internal and external stakeholders on credit process matters.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in credit operations or a similar role.
  • Proven experience leading teams and managing projects.
  • Strong knowledge of credit processes, controls, and compliance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and reporting platforms.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and manage change.
  • Experience in risk assessment and control enhancement.
