Job Overview:

Assistant Director Role

This is a key leadership position that requires an experienced and passionate professional who can inspire and motivate their team, drive continuous improvement, collaborate with leadership, and build strong relationships with families and the community.

The Assistant Director will be responsible for supporting the Centre Director in leading the team to provide high-quality early learning and care. This includes mentoring and developing capabilities within the centre team, managing the centre's operations in the Centre Director's absence, and implementing the Goodstart Practice Guide.

The ideal candidate will have experience as an Assistant Director or in a leadership role within early childhood education. They will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of quality child care practices and be able to lead by example.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Centre Director in leading the team to provide high-quality early learning and care.
  • Mentor and develop capabilities within the centre team.
  • Manage the centre's operations in the Centre Director's absence.
  • Implement the Goodstart Practice Guide.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience as an Assistant Director or in a leadership role within early childhood education.
