Administrative Officer - Finance (Casual)
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a reliable and capable Administrative Officer - Finance to join our team on a casual basis, with a minimum of one shift per week and the flexibility to cover full-time hours during periods of leave.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a small, supportive team and is confident with financial administration tasks, including preparing quarterly BAS.
You will be assisting with general administration and office coordination, with responsibilities focused on maintaining parish financial processes, supporting sacramental and reception services, and keeping our office running smoothly.
Prepare and assist with quarterly BAS
Process invoices and arrange account payments
Conduct basic reconciliation and banking
Manage records for planned giving envelopes
Liaise with clergy, musicians, and funeral directors
Maintain sacramental registers and parish records
Prepare and manage documentation for baptisms, funerals, and marriages
Support general reception duties including answering phones, greeting visitors, mail handling, and basic room bookings
This role involves:
Financial administration, including BAS preparation and reconciliations
Office coordination and general administration
Supporting sacramental and reception services
Maintaining parish financial processes
Managing records and documentation
Providing excellent customer service
