Key Role in Community Centres

The City of Perth is seeking a skilled Volunteer Engagement Officer to manage volunteers at its community centres in the Perth CBD and East Perth areas.

This role plays a vital part in fostering strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, including regular volunteers, ad-hoc volunteers, and general patrons.

You will be responsible for administering all aspects of the volunteer program, including compliance, roster coordination, recruitment, and training. This also involves maintaining accurate records and data entry into the volunteer software package.

In addition, you will develop initiatives to actively engage community centre volunteers and create a supportive environment. This includes creating and sending correspondence to recruit and engage volunteers using various channels.

Your skills and qualifications include:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in volunteer management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate-level computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks and collaborate within a team environment.
