**About who we support**
Vision Australia provides services to more than 25,500 clients from 35 Vision Australia centres in Victoria, New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia; and through outreach programs in the Northern Territory and Tasmania.
**About the role**
- Under the direction of the SED Manager, support the delivery of the Seeing Eye Dogs National Strategy to breed and raise 220 pups per year, support the 350 dogs on program.
- Coordinate the recruitment, on-boarding, training and general supervision of volunteers to ensure quality and consistency of volunteer practices in accordance with The National Standards for Volunteer Involvement and Vision Australia's own policies and
- Ensure continuous recruitment and retention of sufficient volunteers that meet the International Guide Dog Federation criteria to safely raise a Seeing Eye Dog
- Maintain a large group of volunteers to support the program and house the dogs
- the estimated ratio required is 2 volunteers: 1

**About you**
To be successful in this role you will have:

- Conflict resolution, managing difficult conversations with volunteers, behavior warnings and documentation in VMS
- Project leadership and collaborative team player e.g. COVID-19 volunteer compliance projects, coordinating across teams e.g. fundraising, IT, business insights, admin, marketing and communications staff and volunteers and SED customer service team meetings
- Marketing activities e.g. social media campaigns
- Event management e.g. Flinders Street Station/Southern Cross Station puppy caring activations
