About the Division / Team

Our Hunter Valley network predominantly supports the Hunter Valley coal chain – recognized as the largest thermal coal export operation globally – by delivering a dependable and efficient rail transport system between mining sites and the Port of Newcastle. We oversee the operation of approximately 250 trains daily on our network, with a balanced mix of coal and passenger services, along with grain, general intermodal, and various bulk freight trains.

About You

To excel in this position, candidates should demonstrate:

A strong commitment to safety with a proactive approach to enhancing existing practices.
A valid electrical license.
A willingness to pursue and complete a Cert IV in Rail Signalling.
The ability to work independently and collaboratively, contributing effectively to team success.
Experience in fault identification, maintenance, and proficient repair skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with proficiency in computer systems.
A readiness to travel within the Hunter Valley region and a willingness to accommodate overtime as required.
A Class C driver's license.
