About the Division / Team

Our Hunter Valley network is pivotal in servicing the Hunter Valley coal chain, recognized as the largest thermal coal export operation globally. We ensure an efficient and dependable rail transport system between mining sites and the Port of Newcastle, managing approximately 250 trains daily, split evenly between coal and passenger services, alongside grain, general intermodal, and other bulk freight trains.

About You

This area offers various locations to call home, all within a reasonable commute to our central Provisioning Centre. To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate:

A strong commitment to safety and a proactive approach to enhancing existing practices.
A valid electrical license.
A willingness to pursue and complete a Cert IV in Rail Signalling.
The ability to work independently and collaboratively, contributing effectively to team success.
Experience in fault identification, maintenance, and proficient repair skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with proficiency in computer systems.
A readiness to travel within the Hunter Valley region and a willingness to accommodate overtime as required.
A Class C driver's license.
