About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Signal Electrician to join our Hunter Valley Asset Maintenance team based in Muswellbrook, NSW. As a Signal Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing critical signalling and communication equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair signalling and communication equipment
- Troubleshoot faults and identify the root cause
- Handle diverse tasks, from maintaining aerial lines to fixing intricate mechanical locking systems
- Ensure equipment operates flawlessly and safely
- Train and supervise others, fostering a collaborative and safety-conscious team
- Recommend improvements and optimize performance
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
- Qualified Railway Signal Electrician
- Knowledge and ability to implement the principles of rail safety management, OHS principles, and electrical codes of practice
- Proven experience in diagnosing and resolving signal and communication equipment faults in a rail environment
- Written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to apply quality systems, including policies and procedures
- Customer service focus
- Drivers Licence – Class C
- ARTC Statement of Competency (Signals) or demonstrated ability to attain as per Signals Competency Assessment
