Job Title: Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team. As a key member of the Finance department, you will be responsible for managing and administering our payroll operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll processes and procedures, as well as excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Ensure accurate end-to-end processing of fortnightly payrolls.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, systems, and databases.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation and policies, and Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA).
  • Provide high level of customer service when addressing employee payroll queries.
  • Process new hires, transfers, and terminations.
  • Assist with maintenance of the payroll system.
  • Prepare and process termination payments, workers' compensation payments.
  • Prepare and process fortnightly and monthly reports.
  • Perform ad hoc payroll tasks and respond to related queries.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Qualification in Payroll, Business, Accounting, Finance or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in a similar role.
  • Previous experience in Health or Aged Care is highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ownership of your work.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft office Suite, including Excel.
  • Must have full working rights in Australia.
  • Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
