Strategic Health Liaison Officer

This is a pivotal role in our organization, requiring a skilled and influential Government Relations and Grants Officer to amplify our voice in the health sector.

The successful candidate will support the Executive team to build trusted relationships across all levels of government, advocate for meaningful change, and secure grants and tenders aligned with our strategic priorities.

  • Influence and guide our Government Relations and Lobbying Strategy;
  • Identify and assess grant and tender opportunities across federal, state, and local governments;
  • Write high quality submissions for grants, tenders, and policy consultations;
  • Manage recurring compliance submissions / acquittals in relation to all grants and tenders, in collaboration with the Finance and Operations teams, as well as external auditors where required;
  • Coordinate ministerial and departmental engagement for advocacy and funding;
  • Support the CEO and Executive team to maintain trusted relationships with Ministers, advisors, and Chief Executives of key health agencies;
  • Map and support Board and Executive government relationships and engagements;
  • Prepare us for participation in government forums, industry consultations, and taskforces;
  • Develop briefing notes, talking points, and submissions for the CEO and Board;
  • Maintain a grants calendar, tender pipeline, and government engagement register;
  • Provide advice to the CEO and Board on emerging risks and policy opportunities;
