The Role

This position involves conducting assessments and providing information to individuals who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness. You will also engage with clients who may be facing complex issues such as domestic violence, substance use, mental health and suicidal ideation.

  • This high-volume service requires your ability to build rapport quickly and engage clients via telephone.
  • You will work closely in a small team environment supporting clients.
  • Daily entry of client notes into client management software.
About The Position
  • A recognised tertiary level qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health, Substance Abuse, Behavioural Science or Aboriginal Studies is required.
  • 1-2 years' experience in social services sector (Level 4).
  • 3-5 years' experience in social services sector (Level 5).
  • Demonstrated assessment and interview skills.
  • Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High emotional intelligence and resilience.
