Housing Support Specialist

Our Going Places Program is seeking a Senior Case Worker to support individuals facing chronic homelessness or sleeping rough. This role involves providing leadership and support to staff, helping clients with multiple and complex needs towards stable housing and a brighter future.
About the Role- Provide guidance to case workers and mentors in intensive ongoing case management
- Review client progression against support plans and offer assistance as needed
- Actively advocate for clients with other services and government agencies
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices with other services and community members
- Maintain a supportive team environment and contribute to enhancing team spirit
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Ideal qualifications in Community Work, Social Work, Psychology or Behavioural Sciences
- Proven experience in a leadership capacity, working within the homelessness sector
- Able to assess risk and detect potential threats to resolve issues with challenging client behaviour
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage time effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages
