DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Sous Chef who can lead our kitchen team in preparing and presenting high-quality Japanese cuisine. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of excellent food, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and supporting the development of new menu items.
Key Skills and QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you will need:
- a proven track record as a Sous Chef in a premium or fine dining Japanese restaurant;
- experience with sushi making;
- strong focus on maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen;
- leadership and team player skills, including mentoring and developing talented culinary professionals;
- effective communication skills, including providing timely updates;
- knowledge of Food Safety standards and WHS regulations.
